Can't see 'intellirad' radiators on Google - have you a link?

One thing is absolutely certain, all forms of electrical heating from a £10 fan heater upwards, give out EXACTLY the same amount of heat for the same electricity consumption and hence cost.

Here they are http://www.heatstore.co.uk/categories/dynamic-intelirad-heaters. Note they are priceless, so you can expect that they wont be everso cheap.

They look similar to the Rointe oil-filled radiators with a clever (but fiendishly complicated) controller on them.

As Cardew says a kw is a kw whether it comes from a cheapo fan heater or a very expensive posh looking unit filled with magic ingredients or even snake oil.

Generally the shinier and more effusive the advertising literature then the more you'll pay for the same result.

Prices appear to be expensive but nowhere near Rointe, Fischer etc

They are £200 and up. To be fair, the newfangled electronic controls do use power more efficiently than the old crude click-stats, but on the downside are more likely to be fried by a nearby lightning strike / brownout.

I noticed recently a company which was advertising their electric heaters as being UK made and therefore better value (with the post-ref. exchange rate) than the much- plugged German heaters. They did contain some magic clay compound so they sound promising.

Are those Intellirad radiators? They appear to be 'heatstore' and no mention of 'intellirad' - or have I missed something?

I understand what you are saying, but it is open to misinterpretation when you use the term 'more efficient'.

The bottom line is that the heat produced by xkWh is exactly the same regardless of the type of electrical heater.

Yes that is the intellirads. It appears that heatstore call them Intellirad and dynamic at the same time.

Almost as if they want to confuse the issue

If you look carefully, the "intellirads" have a controller fitted (its on the top at the right. The "dynamics" dont

I can get the heatstore intellirads at trade price so 6 radiators are 1500 where as 5 radiators with electrostore were 3300 and the dimplex quantum were 4500 never mind fisherfuture....

I like the idea of these intelligent radiators with timers and thermostats built in

Just wondered if anyone had experience with them.
