Heating Advice Required
Hi All, I'm hoping you can give me some advice and help me make up my mind on what to do with our heating controls! A few years ago we had our boiler replaced with a Vaillant Ecotec 415 for our heating and hot water. The heating was changed to a sealed, pressurised system at the same time. This works well but our gas bills…

When do you pay a cancellation fee?
First Utility iSave Fixed v18 May 2015 I can switch from 12th April without cancellation fees. When going thru Uswitch just now "Your plan has a £60 cancellation fee!" "If you switch today you'll pay a cancellation fee." I thought the cancellation fee was the date of the actual switch, not the date of application - or are…

Changing supplier whilst in erroneous transfer return process?
I'll try and keep this brief... After cancelling a transfer to Scottish Power within the cooling off period for a dual fuel contract (for failing to sign us up onto the tariff we requested), they still erroneously took supply of the gas several weeks ago, despite them confirming in writing this had been cancelled. Our…

Who owns Smart Meter Monitors and how long are they guaranteed for?
I have had a smart electricity meter and monitor installed. Am I correct in saying that the smart meter is owned by the electricity distribution company, but that I own the monitor? If the monitor fails, will I get another for free or will I have to pay, if it is outside of the guarantee period? Many thanks.

ExtraEnergy supplier

First Utility
I looked on the main site a few months ago and in a nutshell, I can save quite a bit by switching supplier, I was on an isave tariff that ends on May 31st 2015. I had an email offering me a new tariff until Jan 2018 which I didn't accept - HOWEVER, imagine my surprise when today I find I'm on THAT tariff? First have…

Gas meter
Can I pick your brains. Does anybody know how much it would cost roughly to have gas meter moved from inside to outside. Having extension done and this stupid gas meter is stuck in a cupboard not enabling to do anything with it.

No gas bill from Extra Energy for nearly a year.
Hello. My dad has been with them since 1/05/2014 for gas/electric. He pays £88 a month D/D. He has had 1 electric bill in December. I have emailed and called on his behalf 4 times and the same response is the bills come from Germany and have to be manually checked. He has paid every D/D on time and has given them readings…

Switched from BG to SP seemingly in limbo
I used one of the links on this site to switch dual fuel supply from British Gas to Scottish Power on Feb 26th. They quickly sent an email saying expected switch date on 12th March and estimates of what my DD amounts would be based on my previous BG consumption. Several weeks have passed and nothing... All I've had was a…

E.ON continue to take more than required?
We bought our first house and exchanged in November last year. Given we had no idea what our energy bills were going to be, we stuck with E.ON and they decided that we should be paying £158 a month for gas and electric. It is now April and we're still paying £158 a month, however we are a huge £498 in credit, yet E.ON…

Problems with Scottish power billing
I wondered if anyone could offer any advice (please be kind - i am first time poster long time lurker!) It is a very long story so i will try and make it brief. In 2013 I moved to Scottish power for duel fuel, and after joining the cheap energy club, found out that there was a cheaper supplier with edf. Did the switch in…

Any hidden gotya in the co-op f&s fixed 16 tariff?
After foolishly staying on the standard pioneer too long i finally got around the comparing prices and co-op are surprisingly coming out top. Their elec price is a lot cheaper than sainsburys and i will be getting an electric car soon from work so this is a bonus. Unit rates are cheaper, i believe its a fixed unit rate and…

EDF rip off
Just had an Email from MSE Energy Club saying EDF Blue + Price Promise April 2016 is my cheapest available Tariff @ £57 a month I checked about 3 weeks ago with the Energy Club putting in the Kwh usage for the last year (Duel fuel) from my supplier, which just happens to be EDF so no arguments there. So I changed to this…

How Much Gas Per Day - 2 Bedroom Flat
Good evening all, I recently looked at my energy consumption (Gas) on the Scottish Power website to see how much we are using daily, as you can see it's a bit all over the place and probably not accurate: So I thought I would see how much we use on an average day by checking the meter myself. From 5.30pm yesterday until…
