Not the best company, not cheap and certainly not convenient but we was all told we had no choice. A lot of tenants had problems, including me, although not…

Flow Energy
My N Power tariff, Bill Saver May 2013, is ending at the end of the month. I could stay and apply for Go Save (variable price)at £85 per month based on my annual consumption. I have also been looking at other suppliers with a view to switching. Flow Energy's "Thames Tariff" looks an attractive alternative at £80 per month,…

I've had massive problems with N Power since they swapped our meter last August and at the end of April the problem was supposed to be resolved. I checked the direct debit that went out this month and it seems the problem is still not resolved. I went to my online N Power account and for some reason my last bill has been…

Claiming 'in credit' balance back from British Gas?
My mum is nearly £100 in credit with BG. She's switched to nPOwer which should've been finalised in the days surrounding today. Logging in to BG says her account is closed. How does she go about getting the in credit re-paid back to her? Does she have to call or is there a feature online she can do this?

Key meters
My friend has today moved into a flat and just found out that the gas and electric are on "key" meters which he has been told are expensive. When he went to top the kep up he enquired about switching to a "supplier" and paying by DD and was told it would cost about £150 to have the meter removed! Is this correct would…

Just moved - where to start?!
After the chaos of moving house with a toddler at the weekend, I've not yet sorted out our gas and electricity supplier. Our previous (rented) property had prepayment cards for both electricity and gas with British Gas. The new (bought) house's old owners were with Scottish Power. I've done the comparison websites which…

Energy Price compare sites PAIN
Does anyone out there know of another way to compare Energy prices based on their current tariff prices and not based on a estimate or yearly Kwh figures or monthly DD payments. surely a simpler scenario would be based on Tariff charges. E.g i know i pay 15.22p per kwh for electricity so if i found a scheme for say 15.02…

Scottish Power
Last September 2012, we left E.ON Energy supplier to join Scottish Power as we could fix our energy bills, gas & electricity until March 2014. We did this because it was too good to be true on Martin Lewis's site. As quoted on MSE 'Should you fix? A fix is like insurance against rate hikes. Therefore, millions can lock in…

Help - is this right?!
I hope someone can help me! I moved into my new electric only (Economy 7 tariff) flat in January and the building has (I'm not sure what it's called) but one supply managed by the managing agents who bill us monthly and a teleswitch thing that monitors each flat's usage. When I moved in, the heating was on 20 degrees and I…

Could really do with some help understanding my gas bills!
Hello. :) It's been a long time since I visited this forum, but I believe you guys are the best people to come to advice for over this. I want to clarify my thinking before I get on the phone to British Gas and tell them I think something's very wrong with my latest bill (and most likely all the prior ones too)! Apologies…

Ebico do not have daily standing charges
I know some others do not have them but many are going to in the future. If you are one who is always trying to use less because of limited income then you may want to change. I believe Ebico was originally set up with those on a low income in mind, having said that the electricity charge is a little higher than some but…
