Actually forget that last comment, I had read your post as an extra 1700 kWh a year, not a month. So her leccy bills are more than £200 a month then? How long as this been the case? I think that it will emerge that someone has looked at the meter and got the reading wrong. If she/he is willing, could you post the meter readings, dates, and whether they were her own readings, an actual reading by a meter reader or an estimated reading.0

I suspect the OP means 1700kWh per year. A extra 1700kWh pm would costs an extra £2500 pa!
But without knowing how the property is heated and hot watered, who knows?No free lunch, and no free laptop
