British Gas using British Gas Trust to talk you into upping debt repayments!
British Gas seem to have sunk to a new low. They are using the existence of the British Gas Trust - run by Charis Grants - to persuade folk to up their debt repayments in a very underhand manner. Just when winter is hitting, right before Xmas and just as they are raising prices: Letters sent out to folk with arrears…

Removing economy 7 meter
I was hoping someone can help - I've bought my first flat and it has two meters as it has electric storage heaters. I want to remove the second meter as I'm installing gas so do I just let the energy company take it away or should I get an electrician to change anything first? Thanks folks :)

Easy way to find out IGT costs?
Hi all. Before I look to swop suppliers again, is there anyway to find out IGT costs ahead of sign up? Last time I tried to swop, by the time they wrote to me and told me the IGT cost, it wasn't worth the change and I was able to cancel the new supplier. I can't seem to find the info any where so any advice would be…

Left Rented Property, Still Paying Bills for Ex-Partner- How to Cancel?
I'm writing this on behalf of my girlfriend, who is in a horrible situation. She split up with her emotionally abusive ex some months ago, but they were still living together in the same rented property until a couple of weeks ago. The emotional abuse often took the form of monetary exploitation, and she ended up paying…

EDF My Account access problems
The title says it really. I don't have any problem with the provision of electricity or bills. However, I would like to be able to look at my account via the internet. I don't think I have ever succeeded in doing this despite several password changes. Does anyone know why their system is not fit for purpose? (That old…

Just a quick heads up for those considering this tariff that it may be ending for new applications tonight. Switching Process Favours the Energy Companies
I am currently helping my mother-in-law to switch supplier from SE to EDF. The electricity and gas are switched on different days. The former switch went well, and she received a final bill. She was in credit, but the money would take 2 weeks to transfer-why that long?? As regards her gas I duly sent EDF a meter reading on…

We had EDF Fixed Saver V2 and in August they wrote to us to confirm the end of this tariff and invited us to sign up for their Blue+Promise 2014 tariff which we did as all the media reports suggested this was one of the best deals. We did it online and got an email confirmation and it said we would hear more from them soon…

Why no mention of Ebico?
I've noticed that Martin's energy posts rarely mention Ebico, but for me Ebico usually comes up the cheapest by a fair margin on price comparison sites. This is probably because I'm a low user, but I'm sure there are other low users out there who might benefit from a mention of Ebico. Plus, Ebico is even better for people…
