Apologies to those who have covered this before. I am new to the site and haven't found it.
We are in credit with our supplier (gas and elec) will the credit be transferred to the new supplier if we switch?

I am fairly sure it is not. It will be refunded to you either through the bank if you pay by that method or a cheque.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

If you have credit meters at your property (pay a Quarterly bill etc) this credit will be refunded to you
Prepayment meters, where you top up a card, I believe the credit on your cards can be passed on to the new supplier0
