Npower, Submitting meter reading,how soon?

hi all got a friend with Npower, how soon will they get a new bill or an updated bill online after submitting a meter reading online?

also one more quick questions shes on the sign online 24 tarriff so is locked in till feb 2013 , can she leave for free due to the latest price hikes? if so does she need to let npower know first or can she just use comparison sites n just switch now ?

It should go through quickly but sometimes they error out for manual intervention. So, if its over a week, there will be a problem with the reading.

If a unilateral change raises the price to you, Ofgem have a licence condition that means your supplier has to write to you and give you the option to switch away but its a short period.

So, they write to you 30 days before its effective and you need a new supplier to contact them within 15 days of when you advise your current supplier that you intend to switch away.
