EDF got my meter reading wrong
EDF got my meter reading wrong and now they say I owe £738.88! I changed from Eon to EDF last July and pay by DD. They assured me £30 per month would be adequate although there was a possibilty if prices went up I would have a little extra to pay when my acount was reviewed at 12 months. Needless to say I was more than…

to switch or not to switch, that is the question! Any help, please?!
Hi, I am looking at the possibility to switch...and I am a bit puzzled by the system... I would appreciate some advice please. I am currently on E.On/Energy Plan, dual fuel. From May 2010 to Apr 2011 I paid a monthly average of £43 for gas and £26 for electricity (real data). I inputed these data on a couple of comparison…

NPower - Price rise? SOL 22?
Hi there, Is SOL 22 going to be replaced by SOL 23 if/when Npower follow suit and put there prices up? Or is SOL 22 already priced in at the new higher rate? Just trying to compare Go Fix 6 and SOL 22 thats all. Dont want to go for SOL 22 and then find out the expected price rise happens and wished I had fixed.

New property gas & electricity
We've been out of our home for a couple of months having sold it and are currently staying with family. We move into our new home next month and I wondered if there is a tool or site I can look at to help choose a provider for my utilities. I tried using a comparision website but they all seem to be trying to give me a…

npower billing chaos.
You might have to bear with me through this one, it gets pretty complicated in parts. I'm writing this half to vent and half to seek advice about what, if anything, to do about it now. I live in flat above two other flats, the meters are all together in a cupboard in communal area on the ground floor. I moved into this…

ScottishPower Meter Set-Up! Can i Switch?
When i was chatting to a Scottish Power rep recently i'm sure they told me that i cant switch energy suppliers whilst i have an economy 2000 meter in place. Something to do with 2 supplies coming into my house. Is this correct? Does anyone know why another energy company cannot provide my electricity in this case?

EOn Switch help please
Just about to come to the end of the Fix online 8 and will be switching to the SaveOnline 7 tariff Is it too soon to do it yet (will I lose the final discount?) Should I do it exactly on the 1st July or does it take time to switch over? The switchover page dates are as follows - a bit confusing as it says the current…

What can I do next please?
Hello, I hope I can get some guidance. In a nutshell: Last year I received a back dated bill from E.ON (Business) for apparent undercharging from 2003-2008 (£6000+). This transpired because I changed suppliers and they said that the readings provided by the new supplier showed they had undercharged up to that point. We…

Timing a switch of supplier effectively
My fix with nPower Online 18 ends on 30th June up until which point a cancellation fee of £20 per fuel applies. Based on my usage British Gas Websaver 12 appears to be the best option and I can get cashback via Energylynx. I'd like to apply to switch as soon as possible but don't want to be hit with cancellation charges by…

Jenko Panels - anyone got opinions?
Hi, Someone I know is looking to buy a 4Kw system made up of the following panels: http://www.jinkosolar.com/product_13.html The 265M-96 (first panel on the grid). I have looked at the specs for the panel and they appear to be very good indeed when compared to other popular panels such as the sharp (using this slightly out…

With Ovo, don't want British Gas
As the contract with Ovo was drawing to an end I used Simply Switch to do a comparison. British Gas came out £115 cheaper so I went for the switch. Should have looked closer. The BG tariff was variable. Contacting BG and asking to go to a fixed tariff was met with reluctance and we were left on the variable. A calculation…

Scottish Power and Switching
Hi all, I'm quite new to bills as I've just graduated from uni and now have my first flat. I switched from EDF back no in February as I did a price comparison that said Scottish Power were the cheapest. Now with the news that they've increased prices, they've sent me an email saying that if I don't accept the terms of…

Choosing tariff then changing supplier...
.... if I sign up for a tariff with a supplier but it is withdrawn before the changeover has happened do I still get it? Or does it all have to be done before the actual tariff can be chosen and signed up for? I realise that sounds confusing, so what would happen if, for example, I picked a tariff offered by E-ON but it…
