With electricity Ebico is only cheaper for people with very low consumption. The same with gas - although not to the same degree.

At first glance they might seem cheaper because they charge a flat rate for every kWh, where all the other companies charge either a standing charge or extra for the first xxx kWh per year(the Tier system) Ebico also don't give discounts for dual fuel, payment by Direct Debit etc.

That said it is admirable to have a non-profit making company, with a straightforward tariff operating in the gas and electricity jungle!!!

It probably will be cheaper than some, but not many. Unless you are an extremely low user, then there will be many better value pruducts available, especially for electricity; use a comparison site to see for yourself :)

Don't forget, the ebico tariff is a variable one and, with the exception of SP who have already shown their hand, expect them to all be rising soon ;)
