Can any EDF customers assist?
I am with EDF(dual fuel) Online Saver version 5 and now is the time to start comparisons with the imminent price rise. MSE tells us that the comparison sites take the price rises into account.I find that ambiguous.e.g if i enter 'online Saver v5' into the comparison then i see that i cannot make ANY savings but if i enter…

I viewed a house today...
...and it has those pay as you go card meters which isn't what we want. If we went for the property and wished to change to billed leccy and gas do they change the meters for free or is it something we would need to factor into costs

I didn't like this idea so on 20/11/10 i signed up with npower. My new supplier took over 29/12/10 Today EDF have told me that they want…

Eaga Cavity Wall Insulation - £129 - A Con?!
These guys appeared at my door the other day offering "free" cavity wall insulation for my property (4 bed, detached house, built 2006 by Kier Homes Scotland) if anyone in my house was on benefits. No-one is, but they said I could still get it for £129, despite it costing upwards of £2,000, as they could access a grant…

SP. Can I get a copy of final bill? Bill not arrived & can't get it online
We have had a refund cheque but no final gas bill from SP so I cannot give the reading to EDF. I've tried logging into the old account but it will not let me as it says I am no longer a customer. British Gas, personal details and general incompetence.
13 months ago I moved into a new house and had the electricity transferred over to my name. All seemed to go OK until 11 months ago when british gas started sending me letters addressed to my previous partner. As my previous partner has never lived in this house I challenged them at the time and they eventually corrected…

Being locked in
I've been in a dual fuel online contract with ScottishPower that had a tie-in for 12 months which ended last November. When prices increased I did my comparison and identified a cheaper alternative. Before I had time to change, I got an email from Scottish Power saying that they were going to lock me in for a further 12…

So we moved in on 8th Feb 2011 and we are on prepayment metres :( EDF for electric. I wrote the reading down on 8th as 5597 but today I read it as 7794 so I've clearly read the first one wrong then haven't I? There was around £5 on the meter when we moved in and since then (almost two weeks) we've added £5+£10+£2.…

E-on want to increase DD, can I refuse?
Hi, had a letter from E-on last week stating they were increasing my monthly DD from £79 to £103, a 30% increase! I think I have the right to refuse this as I have done once before but when I phoned them they said no I don't have the right to refuse and I would have to cancel my DD, change my tariff and lose the discounts…

Joined E.ON in Aug, they're hiking, but think I'm better with them?
Although I'm loyal to some brands (which is bad, I know), I was getting on well with E.ON after the delay with setting up my account (posted on here and I did receive help from the employees helping here -thanks), but since the letter informing me of their hikes in prices, I opted to leave SaveOnline 3 and switch to…

Scottish Power - Highly disappointing
I've suffered with Scottish Pwoer since signing up with them in August 2010, and now it's just coming to a head where I've had enough. Having previously seemingly not wanted to bill me for months - They wouldn't give me online log in details despite multiple requests, and wouldn't send anything to my house. This was all…

E.on
I was told by E.on that because my removed meter was not faulty they should have used the actual final meter reading and not an estimated reading. Is this correct?

British Gas Electricity
I hope that you can help me..... I have lived at my property for 20 years..... it seems that I may have been having an estimated bill for about the last 10 years or so. When I have read my electricity meter there is a massive difference between the actual and estimated which ( to my rough calculations) means that I will…
