EDF early termination free
I signed up to EDF online saver 3 on 5/11/09 with the switch over and new bill starting 25/12/09
Now last year EDF said that they would be changing my tariff to a standard tariff in 2011.
I didn't like this idea so on 20/11/10 i signed up with npower.
My new supplier took over 29/12/10
Today EDF have told me that they want £25 early termination fee.
I am confused how that can be correct as i my new supplier took over, a full year after i signed up with EDF.

EDF online saver 3 was a plan that ran until end December 2010 (irrespective of when you joined).
As you switched supplier before this end date, that is why you incurred the early exit fee."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
Ah ok. Thanks for the info. That's a little odd - if only the change could have gone through a few days later0
