Hiya,
Just before xmas, i swapped my gas and electricity (pre-payment meters) supplier from n-power to eon.
Everything was fine, until a bill for £157 from n-power arrived today. I have swapped suppliers many times in the past without receiving final bills and i don't understand why i have had one now.
I have tried to call them today but their computers were down and i have to phone again tomorrow.
I though i'd post on here so that hopefully someone cantell me if this is right?
Thanks in advance

The bill should explain to some extent why you have a bill. If not, you need to wait until nPower can advise you further.
There are a number of reasons a bill could have been produced. e.g. the date of switch was based on an inaccurate meter reading (you should normally provide an accurate meter reading), there may have been a debt on the meter that was not fully paid (I think if you advise the new supplier, they may add the debt back to the meter), your meter was incorrectly calibrated to latest costs (unlikley with latest meters but if so nPower policy is to restrict such underpayments to £70 max), etc"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100
