British Gas - at least !!!!!! Turpin wore a mask
Fair dues, they emailed me and told me that my web tariff was coming to an end and that my account would switch to 'Standard' tariff from a certain date. So I acted fast and got on the price comparison sites and made the best switch I could find. However, this didn't stop me from suffering the daylight robbery heist that…

Working out your annual consumption
I am always confused when Dogshome and others suggest going through lots of bills and adding up the numbers in each of them to calculate an annual consumption. Do/Why do people find this easier than simply making one single subtraction of two meter readings a year apart?

* Confessions of a complacent EDF customer *
All right. I admit it. We’re victims of our own complacency. And even if many MSErs are already aware of the dangers of such expensive inertia, hopefully this post might just forewarn the newbie or the naïve. . . Quite by chance today, we came across the MSE news item about EDF’s latest tariff finesse. We’ve been with EDF…

I received a telephone call from BG yesterday to say that they are no longer accepting payment by Standing Order - with effect from August 2010.
