Working out your annual consumption
I am always confused when Dogshome and others suggest going through lots of bills and adding up the numbers in each of them to calculate an annual consumption. Do/Why do people find this easier than simply making one single subtraction of two meter readings a year apart?

Is it because for gas you have to convert he gas units to kwh

Or a way of pushing even less buttons is to phone the supplier and ask them for the figures..Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!

Well, we are getting in a Tizz
The reason I do things my way with individual bills, is that I've learnt not to rely on Supplier information
Due to the latest bleat from the regulator, it's only recent bills carry notice of annual consumption, but on my latest bill recieved 2 weeks ago, their figure is not accurate.
I number each of my bills and note them with the number of days it covers, the daily consumption in Kwh and cost per day - This way I can monitior useage and cost from Season to Season
and
By adding up the Kwh and days on the last 4 bills as each bill is received, with adjustment to cover 365 days, I have an accurate annual Kwh figure with which to hit the Switch sites every Qtr0 -

I only get a bill every 6 months, which is frustrating, as I have high usage, but in actual fact think I am supplying the whole street with the amount I'm paying.0
