Besides the fact that I think we've been overcharged (how does it go from £23 to £87 in one quarter?), I don't understand how the usage is billed. Capped price or variable - whats better in the long run ?
Sorry - another question from me. Do you think that it is better to go for a capped price, although this may be slightly more initially (Approx. £45 per year), or a variable price, whic;) h may be cheaper (approx. £50) per year ?

Has anyone ... haggled with existing supplier to keep low costs?
Just a thought... Has anyone haggled with their existing supplier to rather than swopped companies and has it worked ? My capped plan is about to finish so I wondered whether it was worth speaking to my existing supplier (Sainsbury) before swopping over.

I am not sure what to do next whether to pay higher charges for my gas/electricity for a three years price protection? According to the letter, it will work out about £5.50 more if I opt for the protection. Interested to know what other members think? Thanks
