Job application for debt advisor
As you know I saw a job being advertised for a debt advisor and given the problems I've got at work.... any way the more I think about it, the more I think I would really like this sort of job. On the application form I was going to say that I could understand where people who were at their wits end with debt were coming…

Information on Individual Voluntary Arrangement's
I was a bit wary of posting on here. I feel soooo stupid. Through one thing or another I have managed to get myself into a lot of debt. I have tried juggling debts here and there, but nobody will lend me a loan to cover debt on credit cards, from which the interest is killing me. I am struggling to pay everything at the…

I've stopped hiding the mail from my OH
Hello, My first time posting, so a little bit of background: I've had debts for as long as I can remember. My financial situation has yo-yo-ed for pretty much all of my adult life. For years now I've been mostly in the red, incurring charges from my bank and having my CC limits upped. About 8 months ago I gave up a…

Can anyone help? I have been having huge problems at work over the last year or so. Basically we have a new broom and she wants to sweep clean. I have worked at the same place for 22 years, but unfortunately she has found a reason to sack me for gross misconduct. I have been suspended on full pay for the last four months.…

Am I the only one?
That gets really annoyed by all the adverts with slogans like 'make tomorrow toady', or 'lower your monthly payments'. Also people saying things like 'you only live once', 'I'm incapable of saving so I'll get a loan and pay for it later'. It really doesn't help society for it to be so easy and socially acceptable to buy…

Have you told anyone about your debt?
No-one knows about our debt, not even our children although they know money is very tight and we are economising. That's just the way we have decided to deal with it and we are comfortable. But just as we don't tell people I am sure that others don't tell each other either and this became apparant today. I would love to…

Disgusted with Payplan
A warning to anyone using Payplan. This is an update from a message I posted at then end of last week. Hubby was being taken to court over his business overdraft & sent forms to fill out by the court. Payplan told us they thought it odd as Lloyds have been taking our monthly payment. They told us to forward the forms to…

DFW Shopping tart!!!
Today I needed to buy some basics - toilet roll, soy sauce, eggs and bread so went to my local Aldis. Managed to get most except soy sauce so decided to nip nearby to Farmstores another cheapie shop. Wow first time there and I was amazed at their prices. Some things are much cheaper than anywhere else but Aldi's are better…
