where do i stand

im self employed plumber and have 2 lads working for me, i pay their wages into the bank every month,anyway i must have used my old records and paid one of them into his old account,which he said was closed and the cheque would bounce back,so i paid him again,anyway,my bank has said his wage has gone into his bank,he says hes know idea whats happened because hes know access to it.my bank says not alot they can do as i paid it in,any advice?

Can they confirm whether the payment was received or not?
Also mention to them that failure to assist you in resolving the issue will result in a complaint to the financial ombudsman. That will cost them £600 just for your complaint, the bank has to pay the ombudsman.0 -
yes,they received the money,thats all theyll tell me.i'll try threatening them with the ombudsman
