Excellent credit rating but getting refused
Hi all I'd like to get a 0% spending card, to cover a car service that I know will be around £500 next month. Yesterday I did the MSE pre-elegibility checker and it suggested I had a 70% chance of being accepted for the Fluid 16 months card. I did THEIR pre-eligibility check on their site (which won't affect my rating) and…

Credit score - please help!
I really really need some help with regards to my credit scoring! I only have 2 creditors, a loan and a credit card. In September 2011 I went on Maternity leave and was contacted by a company called Harrington Brooks claiming to consolidate my loan and credit card and stop the interest. I had more important things to worry…

Credit rating dropped massively
I've just had an alert from Credit Expert notifying me of a change to my credit rating, on logging in I see it has dropped 100 or so points from being well seated in the good area down to fair, the problem seems to be with a new mobile internet contract I took out last month with Hutchinson Telecom (3) which is a rolling…

Equifax can't even spell
When Equifax close a support call they send out an automated email telling you it's closed a la "Surpressed"??!! I can't believe a company the size of Equifax can make such elementary spelling mistakes in an email subject title that will potentially go out to 1000s of people (anyone who has ever queried their report…

Previous Searches - Caution.
Hi all, I've just logged onto my Equifax online credit report, and the ten icons on the right hand side, which are normally green, one of them which is the "Previous Searches" has just turned to yellow. Of course, I'm aware that happens when you search your credit file a number of times - its there to warn you to stop…

Equifax - Electoral Roll
I have been reviewing my statutory credit reports. For a while I have only used Noddle, which shows no issues and is clean across the board. Following a loan decline a while ago, I have decided to try and find out why. Whilst reviewing the statutory report, Equifax had a big red square which shows that they don't have me…

Compensation query
Hi, I am looking for some advice on whether I should accept a compensation offer I've been presented with or whether I should go to the financial ombudsman to pursue: In July 2012 I applied for a Santander 123 credit card and was declined, so I thought I would look into my credit file. To my astonishment I found that the…

I got married a year ago on Monday there (yay!) and changed my name. Under my old name I am in a trust deed for some silly debt run up while I was a student. Why the declines?
Hi everybody, After checking Experian (statutory report through post), Equifax (free trial) & Noddle, I am not totally sure why I have been declined for some applications. My Experian report, and my noddle report look fine. Loads of greens/0's. I do have 3 number 1's (where I've paid literally a week late) over the last…

Credit Expert says I've signed up with them before; but I'm 99% certain I never have
Just tried to sign up with Credit Expert to have a peek at my credit file in their 30 day free trial, and it claimed I have signed up before. The only service of this type I can ever think of using was Check My File, and that was a long while back. I tried their forgotten details page, and that can't match my details when…
