Hi. Im trying to get a morgage on my council house and have encountered a problem.
Several years ago i signed up to credit expert, it was £6.99 at the time and if you clicked on report it charged you another £5.95.
i opened the account with a lloyds account i hardly used and had no overdraft on.
I had £7 in when i realised that 2 payments had gone, leaving me £5.94 overdrawn, I then paid in another £7 to cover this error.
Lloyds then wrote to me to say i now had an unplanned overdraft and had encurred charges of £51, I contacted them to say this was unfair and asked them to stop the charges, They did nt and the charges went up to £129.
Months later i arranged an appointment in my local branch to see if i could resolve this, Waste of time he did nt listen to anything i said, I even offered them £30.
In the end told him to take me court and left.
Problem is i now have a default and dont know how to clear it.
Thanks to Credit expert and £6.
Any advise?

Read this entire article: http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/bank-charges
If you can convince Lloyds or, failing that, the Financial Ombudsman Service, that the charges were unfair you may be able to get the information removed from your report.
The article says that one of the ways in which you might be eligible to reclaim is if the charges are disproportionate, and one of the examples given is going overdrawn by £1 and being charged £35. Well I would suggest being charged £129 for going overdrawn by £5.94 is just as disproportionate.
Have you had bank charges dropped/waived in the past? Lloyds waived bank charges without me even having to ask the first time I went into an unauthorised overdraft. Not sure if that's the 'norm.'
Good luck! What will your verse be?

After reading several posts on here i found a lloyds complaint phone number!!!!!!.
Just got off the phone, They said nothing they can do as they have passed the debt on. Passed from piller to post. Spoke to manager and nothing they can do, gave me the number of the debt place lol.
Told him im not having it and i will write my complaint instead.
What is your complaint?. So we went over it again.
Now suddenly he can get into my account( said he could nt as locked before).
O dear he says thats not right let me speak to someone.
Lo and behold he returns to tell me they are going to put £135 into my other account..........But they cannot remove the default.
I must take this up with the debt company, He says i owe them £126 and the £9 is interest.
Shocked n stunned.
What do i do now????????

I have now rang the Lloyds debt number. They put me threw to customer services.
The woman says they will now investigate my case, but won't be depositing £135.
Can they now not repay the charges and leave the default on my file????0
