Hi all,
I've just logged onto my Equifax online credit report, and the ten icons on the right hand side, which are normally green, one of them which is the "Previous Searches" has just turned to yellow.
Of course, I'm aware that happens when you search your credit file a number of times - its there to warn you to stop applying for so much stuff - but I haven't requested any lenders to search my file, and no searches have been recorded.
Just a blip at Equifax? I can't see what else coud have caused this?
Cheers!

Have you moved house recently? A friend of mine had this when he moved to a new area as his landlord, water and electricity companies, new car insurance company and whoever else (Internet and TV companies, perhaps?) all hit his file within a short period."You did not pull yourself up by your bootstraps. You were lucky enough to come of age at a time when housing was cheap, welfare was generous, and inflation was high enough to wipe out any debts you acquired. I’m pleased for you, but please stop being so unbearably smug about it."0

You might find that it magically disappears after clicking on the Recent Alerts section. Mine was red today until I clicked on the recent alerts and now it's green. Pointless indicator.
I got my Equifax report on 4 July. They then sent me an email on July 5 warning me that there had been a change to my credit file. I logged in and there was no change, or even any new alert showing. 6 days later and now there is a new postdated alert for 5 July. The alert says the following (yes, it's repeated three times even though only 1 report was ordered):Equifax has recorded a request from you for a copy of your credit report on 04/07/2013 . You may have received your report online or via the post. Your request may have been the result of accessing your information as part of registering for Credit Watch or other services from Equifax. If you believe that this is an error or you did not request your report, please contact Equifax immediately. You will receive this alert after each instance that you order your report.

So the alert tells me that I got a copy of my own report and they send the alert email before updating the alerts online. Therefore, if you log in straight away, you can't even see why you were sent an email.
Utterly hopeless company.0 -
Hi again, I've not moved house in the last two years so I don't think it's that. I've also not received any alerts recently so I can't click on recent alerts because there aren't any! I'll just ignore this for now - I don't see any reason not to.
Also, their website is PAINFULLY slow to use.
About time someone started a good credit reference agency isn't it?!0
