Experian/Equifax/CallCredit
Isn't it about time that ALL 3 Credit Reference Agencies were put out of business and replaced by 1 National Agency (for personal consumers, at least) with fixed low or FREE prices and a clear legally defined way of operating!!! Considering the influence on people's financial affairs and other potentially linked affairs…

Noddle terminology
Hello. Sorry if this has been asked before but I can't find the answer in the threads I have searched in. I am slowly getting back on track financially but got into a terrible mess last year. I had what I thought was a default notice from Mercers. It did say Notice of Default (printed on glossy paper. No expense spared!)…

Should I update my current account to match the electoral roll address?
First impression would be that the above is a no brainer, however: I have been at my current address for a year, but only recently updated the electoral roll. I had been at the address my current account is registered to for a significant number of years and all accounts on my credit file are registered to this address.…

Problems with Experian
I recently tried to transfer a credit card debt and got rejected (nothing new there). The problem started when I checked my details with Experian (as the credit card company said they used Experian to check my records): Many years ago, when I was still at uni, I signed up for a 30-day free trial with Experian in a bid to…

Arrangement to Pay
Is an arrangement to pay just a temporary deviation to the contractual payment? Can you after a short period of time revert back to normal monthly payments whilst maintainting the use of the account in question? Is this always recorded as such on the credit reference agencies files and what is the effect on your credit…

Questions about my credit score
So of all the three credit score/reports, Experian proved to be most useful. They have outlined 1 positive factor and 4 negative that I am hoping to change to improve my score. I would post a screenshot but I'm not allowed to as a new member. I will address credit utilisation by lowering the amount of overdraft I use (I'm…
