how long will it take to sort? fraud.

hello.

last night i checked my credit report and found two accounts on my credit file that do not belong to me. the amount adds up to over 4100 pounds.

long story behind but basically lived in a shared house bills all inc. landlord has debt on gas and elc accounts. has put bills in my name in sept 12 without my permission as house was all inc.he has not paid any until jan 13 then missed four months and am waiting to see if has paid in may. just to add i moved out of the property in oct 12. and moved in feb 12 with four other people in the time frame.

spoken to police at fraudaction (london) been given a crime number to quote to the gas an elc company (same company)

police said they will take my name straight off but it will take longer to come off my credit file how long will it take and will they take it all off including missed payment everything?

i am suppose to be moving subject to references and credit check on Thursday (to a new area 200 miles away!) what can i do to stop this damaging my chances of moving? i have emailed the letting agents this morning to tell them everything as honesty is the best policy.

please help me in tearing my hair out!!!

if you can convince the gas & electric company that its not your debt then they should be able to take it off in a day or two. problem is convincing them
