My wife and I moved our two kids down into a rented house with the plans of renting out our house back in Scotland. However, as we had the help to buy on our home, we…

MBNA Everyday credit card foreign exchange rate
Hi, I have the MBNA Everyday credit card from a few years ago, which has no foreign exchange commissions or fees. I just wondered if anyone knows if the exchange rate, for GBP to euro in particular, is calculated day by day and updated overnight (like at a physical bureau de change on the high street), or if they updated…

Just a warning to others. I just placed an order online with Laptop Direct using my personal credit card and it automatically added a 1% surcharge for using a Mastercard to the order. I phoned them up and they removed the charge, but still a pain, and I am sure many people are getting caught out by this and letting them…

Students & Credit Cards
Hi all, This is my first post so if it belongs elsewhere on the forum or ought to be reformatted, please do educate me! I’m halfway through university, and the release of the Apple Card (I’m a self declared Apple fanboy) has got me interested in a credit card. While shopping around for the best options, I’ve found mixed…

fraud, $200
Luckily I had the total refunded. Had a holiday in New York in March, then yesterday $100 was taken from my Monzo, twice in 2 minutes, in Pittsburgh, a Food Mart. Sounds like cash withdrawals, would be too odd to do shopping and have it come to $100 twice in 2mins. So what might I have done wrong? I didn't use a…

Mint credit Card PPI claim
Has anyone else had success claiming PPI back on an old Mint card with no account details? We used Resolver for Mint but they have said they can't find our details as they only keep records for 6 years and we don't have our old account number. Seems a bit of a cop out to me - is there anything else I can try?

Wrong credit card credited
Bit of a strange one, I think. Amazon have recently refunded me £440 for a faulty Xbox I bought last year. The refund was a bit slow coming though, but I went ahead and bought a new Xbox from them in the meantime. However, still no refund on my card and now a good 10 or more days past the time they state the refund should…

Deciding on a credit limit
MBNA must think I'm about to pay off my card in full (they're not wrong; it'll be clear before November) as they've offered to increase my limit from £8,100 to £10,500. I'm not sure I'm comfortable with such a high limit, but I have no intentions of using it, and infact was planning to drop the limit to £5k once it's paid…
