I set up direct debits for £150 a month thinking that the BT would be cleared within the 18 months. Wrong, when i rang up to check…

Retailer sees what?
I hope this is not inappropriate for this section. When one makes a purchase on line, and input the card details and security number, what does the retailer see on its screen. I assume it is something to let it accept the order but the number and security code.

Paying an independent driving instructor by CC
My daughter is about to start lessons with a driving instructor who has been recommended to us. Rather than handing over a wad of cash or bank transfer for a block of lessons, I would like the protection of paying by CC just in case the worst happens and we lose our money. I've listened to too many consumer shows where…

What types of payments incur fees?
So I read online that paying by credit card is not always the best idea because you'll be charged a processing fee. Some online articles mentioned utility companies as being the primary ones which will charge you, so paying my BT bill or Eon bill by credit card may incur a fee. Aside from contacting each company and asking…

0% on purchases meaning
If a credit card says 0% on purchases for 3 months, does this mean when you buy something on the card, you have 3 months to pay it off before you start getting charged interest? Or does it mean when you get the card, the first 3 months are interest free and that's it? Thanks.
