in Credit cards
Hello!
I have a Santander 123 account and a Santander zero card.
I’m currently on holiday withdrawing money and I want to make early payments to reduce the interest being accrued.
When I pay online I only have the option of making a credit card payment with a debit card. My transactions total around £200. When I come to pay it, there’s an error stating “you can only pay within a £100 of your balance”.
There doesn’t no seem to be any other “pay credit card” option. Is it because I have a direct debit setup?
Can anyone help?
Thanks,
James

Are they cleared transactions or still pending?0

Thanks for the reply!
They seem very real to me. Can’t see anything to say they’re pending. They appear in the list of transactions. The first one was 7 days ago too.
Thanks again!!

You need to make a faster payment from your Santander 123 account to your credit card rather than looking at your credit card management/payment options
Use the following account details:Pay online directly from your account by quoting:
Sort Code: 09-00-99
Account Number: 01000007
Reference: Your 16 digit credit card number
Allow up to 1 working day for payments made through online banking to reach the account.

I pay Santander Zero by faster payments (from Nationwide) and it usually goes through same day.
Provided you have cleared funds in your current account, I can't see you would have any difficulty.
Don't be tempted to overpay Zero. It's not worth it the (unknown) risk of having it blocked.0 -
Thanks so much. Really helpful!
What would you put int he “name” category. I went for “credit card”. I guess it doesn’t matter.
Thanks again!

the name category is basically for your reference. so long as you have the account, sort code and reference (card number), then no issues what the "name" is0
