Second balance transfer card with same provider
Hi, I have 3 credit cards one of which is an MBNA "Standard" card. According to the MSE checker tool I have a 95% chance of getting an MBNA "Platinum" card with 0% on balance transfers for up to 36 months. Now I know that I can't transfer from one MBNA card to the other, but what I'm wondering is, does the fact that I…

Credit Card novice, consolidating debt
Hiya, Bit of a novice when it comes to Credit cards and debt, but I find myself at the limit of my overdraft on a couple of current accounts and with a smallish Credit Card (2k) maxed out. The only good thing to say about it is it was caused by some bad luck and everything happening at once rather than dreadful money…

Closing credit card cringe spiel!
Hey. Has anyone noticed that when closing a credit card that they really pile it now with the sales crap and flattery and try and convince you to stay? And try and say all the reasons you should keep it (like you haven't thought it through yourself and made an informed decision). My god, it's so cringe? It is just so much.…

Santander increasing interest rates

Capital One - Missing Transactions in App
When checking my Capital One statement/transactions online (in a browser), all transactions are visible. When looking in the iOS app, it seems that a lot of transactions are missing and do not show - can anyone else confirm if they also have this same issue? These are posted transactions, not pending ones.

Balance offer
Evening all, I have a rack of cards etc adding to a total of around £30K and have an opportunity to possibly clear these. The full amounts are nowhere near possible but can I make an offer to settle but less than the full amount? If so are there penalties or a downside to this? Appreciate all the advice.

0% Purchases with same company
If you had a 0% on purchases with say, Barclays and then when the 0% was up, you paid it off, closed the account and cut up the card, can you still apply for another 0% on purchases say, three or four years later with the same company or do they remember that you've already had a 0% with them in the past?

Go back to previous card issuer or a sub-prime
Long story short, left the UK 8 years ago, now moving back. I’ve kept my bank account open whilst out of the country with the banks permission and I had a Barclaycard when I left that ended up staying open until I remembered about it and closed it about 2 years ago. It was at zero balance for years. Just been put back on…

Reclaiming cost of lost holiday paid by credit card
I booked a holiday over 6 months ago and paid for it by my Barclaycard. Unfortunately, at the last minute one of my family had a panic attack just before boarding the plane. This meant we were unable to board the plane and missed our £4000 holiday. What are the chances of me reclaiming the credit card payment or even part…

0% credit revoked due to accidental missed payments - should I balance transfer or suck it up?
So I have a 0% credit card on which I owe about £850 on . Stupidly, I hadn't set up a direct debit for the minimum monthly payment (I know, naive!) and I've made two late payments in a row meaning they've revoked my 0% interest, not because I don't have the money. Should I suck it up and pay it off asap (I could probably…
