Credit Limit shifting?
Hi I have four or five credit cards and have mostly got them because of the rewards points. Unfortunately, with the new rules about unfair charges coming in, most of them are cutting back on their reward programme. One still has it for now and I would like to solely use this card but the provider are very strict on credit…

Can I repeat juggle for 24hrs between 2 overdrafts to avoid fees
On my accounts if you go overdrawn and pay the money back within 24hours you won't receive any overdraft fees. If I go overdrawn can I wait 23hrs pay it back and then immediately withdraw it again doing the same in another account and continuously juggle the payments until I can pay it all back?

Question about settling car finance via credit card
Hello there, I currently have a Northridge Finance loan for my car that I've been paying off for a few years now (and has a year or so left on it). I've been told it might be in my interest to get a credit card with a long 0% on purchases and move the remainder of the loan on to there (thereby settling it from the POV of…

What can I do when RBS refuse to remove a late payment from credit profile?
Hi everyone, I'm hoping I can find some good advice here. I've ended up with a late payment logged on my credit profile. I make sure funds go into a bank account each month from my primary account which then covers all my direct debits as well as the minimum payment for my credit cards. As I own my own business I use my…

My question is, each time I jump to another card I have not cancelled the one I have moved from so I now have 3 cards that I don't use - should I cancel these cards? I applied for a Clarity Card and I 'think' I have been approved, but wanted to check with other MSE posters based on their experience. Does cancelling a CC improve a credit rating
Hi all. For the past few years, I have been on an IVA and came into some inheritance money in November and managed to partially pay off all debts owed. During this time, I got a Capital One credit rebuilding CC with a high interest rate of 34%. When my credit rating improved, I got an HSBC CC with a lower interest rate,…

Paying HSBC CC from a non-HSBC bank account
Hi people I've recently got an HSBC credit cart and I have to say, it is the most complicated set up I've ever gone through ! The online banking set up procedure has a ridiculous amount of security questions. While I appreciate security is important, this is way over the top. Making payments from a non HSBC bank account is…

Rant about contact us number on back of card
Had some fraud on one of my cards yesterday. So, turned over the card to get the number, why the %#}%^ do they print…

Confused Student
Like most students I have no clue about credit cards and credit cheques etc. However, I had heard that if you got a credit card, and paid a regular bill of with it (say a mobile phone bill) then this would help contribute to your credit rating - which YEY sounds fab. However, I'm trying to do a bit of research, and this is…

Lloyds Bank Avios Card
I have had a Lloyds Bank Avios Card since it launched, which must be around 20 years ago. It was originally called the Lloyds TSB Air Miles Duo card, but changed as the companies have changed names.
