Credit Tart question

in Credit cards
Hi,
I'm a credit tart and have just moved to another card. My question is, each time I jump to another card I have not cancelled the one I have moved from so I now have 3 cards that I don't use - should I cancel these cards? A friend has said that it looks bad if you do cancel them but once the transfer is done I either lock the card in the safe and never use it or put it through the shredder anyway.
Opinions welcomed, thanks

Cancel a couple. Locking it away in a drawer still has the credit available to you.0

Its better to cancel them so that you are eligible for the respective providers interest free period sooner. Some have 6 month periods and some have 12 month periods during which you are ineligible.0
