Warning - Nationwide changed their extended warranty terms
Nationwide credit card holders get an extra year warranty on most electrical goods that you buy with the card. However, they have now changed the terms of this so you only get the extra year on top of 1 or 2 year warranties. So no longer any use on John Lewis TVs etc. Seems rather sneaky as I don't remember being notified…

We took it up 5+ years ago with capital one - neither or us made much money but they still gave us cards with a £200 limit on it. LloydsTSB & Virgin MBNA - lowered your interest as existing customer?
After being refused for a new low rate credit card (recently moved house etc), I read on the site that it can be an idea to bluff your existing lenders by calling up, telling them you have a new 0% card, or at least low rate of interest card, and would like to enquire about closing your account once you transfer the…

Can such firms pursue my partner (as well as my wife) for debts after my death? If they can, on what legal basis? Really grateful for a reply on this. Email:…

"Cashback Credit" - what is this?
Hi, I have a question on something on my statement, called "Cashback Credit". It appeared on my LTSB Classic Mastercard. I wasn't aware at all that the card gives me cashback? I have always paid by Direct Debit in full - surely it wasnt a discount that I received as a result of Direct Debit right? So what is it actually?…

Declined for Capital One, but v.clean credit history
Just received a letter declining my application for the 4% Capital One card. Very confused because I've never had a problem with credit in the past whatsoever, so I've just taken advantage of the free trial on Experian to get my full credit report, which seems to be absolutely spot on. I have three current credit cards for…

Credit Card - High Spender - Best Rewards ?
I am a very high spender on credit cards - mainly due to work purposes. I spend around £70,000 per year on a credit card. I presume that if I use a cashback card the cashback would be 'taxable', whereas if it was some sort of rewards card, it wouldn't ?? - eg, for free flights, etc ?? Can anyone recommend a credit card…

Credit Refs agencies - Clarification sought on 6 year history rules
Hi A few years ago during a period of bad health I got in to some difficulties and had problems paying back my cards. One of which defaulted. Chasing debt in Spain
