Tricky Stuff

Does anyone know the legal position of my unmarried partner on outstanding debt to credit card firms on my death? I have terminal cancer. I am still married. Can such firms pursue my partner (as well as my wife) for debts after my death? If they can, on what legal basis? Really grateful for a reply on this. Email: commonsides10@blueyonder.co.uk. N idea how threads etc operate. Thanks, Andy

If the credit cards or any other outstanding debt is soley in your name then they should be paid off from your estate.

Anything 'jointly' owed, then who ever it is joint with will be asked to pay.
