Hi, Found out today via online banking that I've just been charged for rail tickets I bought back in November 2004. Whilst I should have realised that the money hadnt hit my card last year, it's still a shock to have a bill for £70 here and now! Does anyone have any tips/similar experiences in this type of situation? Is it…

EC card issued in the UK..?!
Hi everone, just got back from a trip to Germany, where it seems that really no-one takes any Visa, Master or other credit/debit card to pay over the counter, let alone online. Most retailers were asking me if I didn't have a EC card. I now what they are, but have never heard of them being issued in the UK. I am currently…

I currently have a store card from Aura (dixons) and the intrest is 29.9% OWCH. Does Halifax one has a Max 50 Pounds handling fee? It is stated in Martin's article, but I can't find it in the Summary Box in the Halifax web site. It only mentioned up to 2% handling fee. Anyone who has recently applied for the card may give me some information.

Should I stooze?
Hi, I run a tight ship these days and only have one credit card, a barclaycard with just over 3k on it. The 0% ends in August, and so I have applied to CapOne for the 0% 18months offer. I'll use this purely as a 0% loan and pay the balance off before the 18months runs out. BUT... I have looked at these forums and read a…

Mr Smartsaver got 11k and I got 4k - which for our current 'borrowing' and circumstances is not bad. T&C's arrived in post 3 days…
