Any advise most welcome :)

I am looking to 'purchase' something via a credit card (pay for a college course actually) to the tune of around £1800.00. So I need a card with 0% and one that won't charge me as the whole balance isn't cleared at the end of the month.
I did look at the Sainsburys one but the way I read it (please tell me I am wrong) that it was 0% for twelve months on purchases and as long as you cleared the balance.

Oh I don't know

1.3 We apply the interest rates to your average daily balance and charge it to your account each month. So the earlier you make a payment, the less interest you have to pay. However, if you pay the total balance shown on your current statement (and have paid the total balance on the previous statement) by the payment dates, we will not charge you interest on purchases shown on your current statement. Other than as described above, we will charge you interest on purchases and cash advances from the date of the transaction and for cheques, balance transfers and all other amounts from the date we first charge the amount to your account. If you have not paid an amount shown on one statement at the date of the next statement, we will add the interest we have charged on that amount to the balance we charge interest on.

Thanks
Emmy :)

I rang them to clarify and they said that there was no charge until after the twelve months..... you can tell I don't apply for credit cards.

At the risk of stating the obvious not just once but twice...

Remember you will still need to make the minimum payments each month. I think for Sainsburys it is 3% so you will need to pay £54 from the first month, going down slowly each month after that.

And do make sure you can pay for your course by credit card first and that they won't charge you an extra fee for paying by credit card.

    Thanks Reaper,
yes I can pay by card and I plan to pay it off at around 175.00 a month so I will be finished before the interest free finishes :)

But please don't pay more than minimum each month - save the excess and get the interest - then pay the whole amount off when the 0% deal finishes...
