Santander Mastercard withdrawals abroad
We have been in Spain for four years and use our Santander visa debit card at Santander atm's without any charges for withdrawing euros. We always selected without conversion. My partner`s card for the same account expired and she was sent a Mastercard. The first withdrawals came with charges of around 15 pounds for 300…

Is my credit rating being impacted by this?
There are times in the month where I fall into slight deficit for a few hours in my TSB Bank Account until I get a top up from my partner to put me back into positive. I do it before the 1430 deadline on the day each time. I don’t have an overdraft facility on my account.

Confirmation of payee not working
I have a Starling bank account and people are having difficulty paying into it since COP was introduced. My name is not recognised. I'm guessing it's something to do with the apostrophe in my name. Starling has confirmed that my details are correct, but when I try to pay in from Nationwide, I get the message that it…

Sending £50K to USA
Hi all I am acting as an executor and will need to send about £50K-£55K to one of the beneficiaries in the USA sometime in the next month or so. Any suggestions on the best way to do this, both in terms of security and best FX rate? A quick search would seem to imply Starling for optimum security via FSCS cover (with whom…

Bank account overhaul - Is this the best option?
I have been with Santander for years but due to the interest drop I am ready to change. Can you advise if the below would be a good alternative? Our main account for bills etc has an average balance of £10,000. I have calculated that the cashback when the changes are made next month on the 123 accounts will be around £4.20…

Rubbish rates, but what about best digital banking
I'm wondering who has the most modern digital banking for convenience. I rarely go into a bank, so being able to scan in the odd check is an advantage. It'd be good to see that added to the lists of recommendations as saving time is as moneysaving as 2% on £1,500 is...!

Nationwide FlexDirect account - minimum payment in
I've had my one year with this account and the higher rate of interest so just planning to leave it open with £1. Is there still a requirement to pay in £1000 every month? I can't work out if that was just to get the interest or still a requirement. Thanks.
