Wedding Account
Hi, My fiancee and I are currently planning our wedding for 2011 and although have a fair bit saved and set aside, we plan to save more in the meantime. A couple of people have recommended that we set up a joint 'wedding' account. Are there any regular savings accounts people can recommend to me for this? Thanks Matt

Barclays Telephone Banking - Need to register?

(Don't worry, it's not the scam where I release the car through a 3rd party e.t.c, it's all very legit) They still hold a UK Current Account with Barclays, but due to modern restrictions in the form of card readers, they are unable to transfer the…

A&L Payment Review Fee - Item Paid - Refunded
Had one of these applied to my account on 1st Feb, and managed to get it refunded. On phoning A&L to enquire as to why this has happened, they confirmed that it was because a £260 DD went out + £50 card payment, and I only had £330 in the bank (not including £250 overdraft). Do the maths = £260 + £50 isn't more than my…

Halifax - multiple current accounts?
I currently have a Halifax Easycash account but also want to get the Halifax Reward Account. If I apply, would they see that I already have an Easycash account and upgrade that instead? I want to keep it because it has the Visa Electron card which is still the only fee-free option for certain purchases.

Santander Sales Department FAIL
The following is a rough transcript of my call to Santander's main sales line (0800 80 80 80) today. I think it speaks for itself. Note that I don't blame the individual customer service agent whom I dealt with, but rather whatever boneheaded sales policy required her to act in such a manner. Santander call centre agent:…

Problems switching to Halifax Reward Account
I have a Halifax Current Account and have twice signed a form to get it converted to a Reward Account but it never changed. In mid July 2009 I went into my branch to pay in a cheque and while I was there I asked to switch my account and signed a form to do so. I checked my account online in October and saw that it had not…
