Nationwide - 250£ offer
[Deleted User]
One of my friends recently switched his current account from Natwest to Nationwide and received £250 today.
Has anyone else heard about this - is it true ?
I'm seriously considering doing this myself, have checked the nationwide website, but cant find anything relevant that talks about 250£ cashback.
Thanks
Karthik

The offer was for £50, not £250.0

If you had gone for all the transfer offers that Nationwide have put out over the last 2 years you would have raked in around £250. The last offer (no longer available) was for £50 and had the added inconvenience of having to move your salary to the Nationwide as well as direct debits.0

No...he received £250 in the bank today, and he told me that....a full £250 was credited into his nationwide account today. He opened it only last week, moved all his direct debits, salary pay-in etc...the whole lot !! - This is the first time he has ever switched bank accounts !!0

Nationwides promotions are listed here:-

The last was, as stated by other posters, £50 for switching back in October. There was no requirement to switch salary.
I know of no current switching incentives from Nationwide.
Even if there was there is no way it would be paid one week after opening the account as that wouldn't be enough time to allow the switching of payments to have taken place.0
