Halifax cheque clearance times

Does anyone know what time of day a cheque is likely to show in your available balance when you log on to Halifax's online banking?
I have a cheque that says it is due for clearing today but it's still not showing in the available balance, was wondering what time they update their system.
Thanks for any help.

They update their systems between 3am and 4am. Whenever I have lodged cheques in the past they have always been made available by the date shown on the deposit slip.
Is your cheque a high value one? It may be subject to further security/fraud investigations if that is the case.0 -
Cheques become available from 9am normally.Anything I post is my opinion, so from time to time I may be wrong. I try to provide answers based in fact, however I don't know everything, so (like all posters on MSE), take what I say with a pinch of salt.0

It was just my wages cheque, no different to any other month really. Funnily enough I checked online banking at midnight and 3am last night and again just when I started this topic. I checked again at 8.58am and refreshed the page and at 9.01am the balance was showing as cleared in my available balance.0

If I deposit a cheque into a Halifax savings account on a Saturday, when can I withdraw cash against it.
Logic says on the Friday, following the 2-4-6 rule but I was told the following Monday (which is working day 5 after deposit !?!?). The girl on the till said that the day +4 rule for withdrawal only applied to current accounts.
Nor sure who was the more confused!Ethical moneysaver0 -

Cheques deposited into savings accounts go 2-6-6. There's no urgency to withdraw against the value of a cheque deposited in a savings account, thereofore it becomes available on "certainty of fate" (the sixth working day).
I would suggest the cashier is wrong, and the cheque should in fact be available the following Tuesday.Anything I post is my opinion, so from time to time I may be wrong.
