I saw an advertisement for an I phone in the LOOT Online. I spoke to the seller and we arranges a price of £280.
She sent me her bank details so I trusted her and sent the full amount.
She sent me a tracking number but after 3 weeks the item still never arrived. She said she going through the correct procedures to claim the lost item back on her insurance. She claimed the Royal Mail had lost the delivery.
Now she keeps saying she will transfer the full amount back, but never does.
She is now not answering her phone nor replying to her messages.
Some advice would be wonderful
Thanks for taking time to read

You've been had.
You should probably report it to the police, but I suspect the bank account has long since been emptied and there will be little they can do.0 -

I spoke to Santander in December. The assistant on the phone seemed to think I was covered, especially over the xmas period when things like this happen all the time0

I'm just repeating what they told me
we all do stupid mistakes, i put my bank details on a gambling site, its been well over a month since i reported my account, the bank said up to a month, so i wrote to the cheif executive saying i haven't heard, got a phone call saying they need to phone interview me.
last month when i phoned they said i will get the money back, also says on the leaflet with new card, if your a victim of fraud don't worry we will refund your money0 -
There's a difference between willingly sending money to somebody and somebody managing to access your account fraudulently.minidannii wrote: »last month when i phoned they said i will get the money back, also says on the leaflet with new card, if your a victim of fraud don't worry we will refund your money
By the way, if you publish your details openly on any web site I think a bank is well within its rights to consider your actions negligent and refuse to pay up.0 -
Fraud meaning someone using your card without your permission. The OP made this transfer themselves therefore it wouldn't come under the fraud that is covered by the bank.minidannii wrote: »last month when i phoned they said i will get the money back, also says on the leaflet with new card, if your a victim of fraud don't worry we will refund your money0
