Name misspelled on cheque
I have recently received a compensation cheque from HMCS. However, despite the year of uncertainty, stress and nature of the issue, they have spelled my name wrong. It is states to pay Nicola X when my name is actually Nicole X. Whats the likelihood of my bank (Abbey:S) accepting this cheque?

I notice that HSBC plus has free Roadside Breakdown assistance but HSBC premier does not - I would have expected that the higher account would have it too anyway what other accounts have free stuff like this - preferably without monthly fees thanks

cheque not out of date for 6 years
A cheque I had written dated January 2006, was presented and paid last week. I thought a cheque was valid for 6 months, but was informed by LLoyds TSB it is valid for 6 years. If I had known I would have put a stop on it years ago.
