This account is unfortunately not available to new customers, and hasn't been since about the start of 2008.

It is great for those who already had it though!
  • oh thats a shame! i love it....i hope they cant cancel it once you have it!

    Love mine too.

    Especially good for online gambling!

Unfortunately they can change terms and conditions whenever they choose to.

I'd guess that the outcome of the bank charges case would probably lead to the death of this account next year.
  • that would be so annoying...i actually feel like i am getting something with this account!!! all my other accounts i used to get about 20p!!

I have just rung the Halifax and the girl said yes they are taking them from existing customers, she couldn't tell me when as it hadn't be finalised yet and she did also say you would get your anniversary payment but she said expect to get a letter in the near future!

If they pull it i might close the account out of principle.
If you want 1% cashaback some credit cards offer it (i think) - AMEX platinum card (v hard to get), Morgan and stanley (v hard to get) and Egg money (v hard to get) - I have been rejected for all 3!!!
