halifax moneyback account

Hi opinions4u,
you refer to online gambling with your Moneyback account. May I ask you which sites you've used your account with? Now that we've got less than 2 months usage of this account left, we might as well get as much use out of it as possible!
Thanks0 -

Moneyback customers need do nothing – we will be writing to inform them of this change in January.

Crikey, the overdraft fees are going to be quite large on this account now then, up to £1 a day on overdraft use up to £2500 and £2 a day on overdrafts over £2500. The moneyback overdraft rate is about 6.9% I think isnt it...a slight difference at the end of the month. Dont think this is an account if you're going to be overdrawn then...unless I have it wrong?:eek:Total Debt Oct 2008 [STRIKE]£12, 900[/STRIKE] Oct 09 [STRIKE]£12,232[/STRIKE] March 2010 [STRIKE]£11576[/STRIKE]July 2010[STRIKE] £11082[/STRIKE] MAY 2011 £9426

Just caught up on this, I use the money back account, so sad that it will be closing down - I think I am up to 95quid this year so far, so will lose out0

I went into halifax today and they had leaflets about the 'Reward Current Account', they said I could go into the branch to convert my account from the 8th February.Kavanne

If you do not want the Reward account, go into your branch before 8th February and change to another account. You will still get your Moneyback payment if you explain why you're changing
I will be visiting the branch just before the Reward Account goes live as I will otherwise be paying £25 per month in "being overdrawn fees" instead of the £4 a month in debit interest I currently pay.
If you don't do this, I believe that your only options after this time are the Reward Account (Daily charges for being overdrawn) or the Ultimate Reward Account (Monthly charges for having the account, but I think you get insurances with this account, it's a packaged one)0 -
ive got the moneyback account too which has been really great ,for a year i earned 120 pounds and the overdraft rate is just so gr8 but they r taking it off today ,they said they ll give 5 pounds a month if u credit ur account more than 1000 £ a month but the overdraft rates are bad ,using 0-2500 £ u ll get charged 1 pound a day interest so the apr has gone to 16 % from 6 %.
so really really bad0
