How good is 4G home broadband, really?
We've seen a house to buy that's perfect for us in every way except one. Broadband speed is 1-3Mbps  Estate agent said his office has a 4G business service as that's all they could get, and they run 10 computers off it. He claims to get 40 Mbps. I'm really unsure. We use internet for the following currently (we have…

Naked adsl broadband
High 5 All, Sky have secretly decided to block my non-Sky modem router. I have a perfectly good phone service from a nobody. Origin, I believe used to offer just broadband if that is what you wanted, but not any more. Dose any one else offer naked ADSL or not cable broadband for close to £7 pcm? Many thanks

Why is my broadband and phone so expensive?
I have been with TalkTalk since they launched, but I am fed up with them increasing prices. I am out of contract. I looked at uSwitch, whilst there are 18 month packages, but they make comparison harder, because you can sign up to pay 12months of line rental in advance. That means, after 12 months you have to sign up for…

Should people pay for broadband based on speed?
I used to get bad broadband around 2MB. My neighbhoor could have better speed around 6MB. I just happen to have a rubbish line. Out of frustration, I paid extra for fibre, but I am annoyed, I have to pay extra simply because the line quality is so bad. How is that my fault? The phone company should be charging based on the…

Is this genuine from bt?
It looks like someone has been using your broadband to share copyrighted material (that means things like music, films, sport or books). And as your broadband provider, we have to let you know when this happens. I received an email from bt regarding the above. I do not know whether it is genuine as Indo not download any…

Intermittent broadband connection - how to complain?
Hi, I'm asking for some advice on behalf of my parents about their internet connection through Plusnet. For the past 2 years or so, their internet connection has been intermittent - they've had numerous phonecalls with Plusnet about this issue, and while Openreach engineers have been sent to try and fix things, they're…

Plusnet and £75 cheque / Mastercard
I signed up to Plusnet on 12th April through Moneysavngexpert when it was still showing up as a £75 Mastercard. However I don't recall seeing any information from Plusnet to say they were involved in this promotion or that they would be sending anything to me. Is this common to this promotion or has something gone wrong?…

A online asking for money 2 years after cancelled
Hello, this is my first forum post and I hope you all can help? I received a letter today from a credit style limited acting on behalf of avonline. Help. I can't rem what was supposed to have been in their "kit" as I pretty much never used their BB connection as it was painfully slow. I maintained my VM account at the same time. Six months later I never saw any decent speed from TT any time I tested it online. One sixteenth of VM's speed for half the cost??????? I…

Hi I took a new contract with Plusnet for £28 per month for unlimited fibre and phone line. Now due to a problem with their billing system they can’t honour discounts and as a result they charge me £34 per month. Switching from Virgin Media
Hi Is there a requirement for virgin media to inform me in writing of the termination date of my service and other things like how much I'll be refunded? I've only got things verbally over the phone from them apart from an auto generated email as I'm taking my landline number with me. Thanks in advance.
