Plusnet to Post Office

Currently out of contract with plusnet and have bt line. Thinking of moving to the post office for bb, not fibre, and line. Few questions if anyone has done this, any speed drop? One broadband site shows talk talk, the p,o supplier, as about 10% slower than plusnet. Any problems keeping my landline number when moving from BT to the post office? Thirdly, currently using a talk talk router as it has better wifi than my old plusnet one, presumably this will still work?

I'm tempted to ask plusnet if I can have a new customer deal if I move my landline to them.
