Switching from Virgin Media

Hi
Is there a requirement for virgin media to inform me in writing of the termination date of my service and other things like how much I'll be refunded? I've only got things verbally over the phone from them apart from an auto generated email as I'm taking my landline number with me. Thanks in advance.

Email is classed as writing and has the same effect as pen and paper .0

As per my previous post they haven't confirmed in writing (the automated email does not deal with what I'm referring to). Is there a requirement for them to confirm a termination of service in writing?0
