Hi All, I just received a generic email from BT to advise that my annual line rental saver is up on 16th February. Is it still worth paying annually and what is the price for the coming year? Thanks

Require BT Static IP Address at Home
BT tell me I can't have a Static IP Address at Home unless I have a Business line installed. A Business line costs a lot more than a Home line. Why can't BT provide a Static IP Address on a Home line?

Virgin breach of contract
I was a reasonably happy puppy with my 50mb broadband as it was all I really needed... until I got a call from Virgin Media. A pleasant Indian sounding gentleman offered me a speed upgrade and a vivo box M+ tv package and phone line for an extra tenner. I weighed it up and after the gentleman reading his script multiple…

TalkTalk to BT speed slowdown. No idea why.
I switched from TalkTalk last month to BT. Neither were/are fibre. Recieved 17mbps with TalkTalk, but BT only give me 6.1mbps. They say this is the maximum my line can handle. No infrastructure changed when I switched, I just don't get it. My account in mybt says I can receive up to 17mbps, but the BT helpline says I can…

Best 40/10 Fibre deal
Hi Everyone I am looking to move from TT when my contract ends. I am very happy with 38MB download but would like a faster upload speed as archive a lot of photos to the cloud. a 80/20 would be overkill so 40/10 over my current 40/2 I can't seem to find a comparison site that compares or lists providers that do a 40/10…

What counts as a new customer?
With many deals only available to new customers, what counts as a new customer? Is it as simple as cancelling at the end of the contract and then signing up in my partner's name, bank account etc? Or would companies see through that? Our broadband deal with Plusnet is due to end soon and I note that they currently have the…

Talk Talk and change of telephone number
I switched from BT to TT for phone and broadband. Because of contract obligations to BT I wanted it done Jan instead of Dec and TT said that because of delay I would get a new number which actually did not bother me that much, so happy to go along with that. However it would seem that TT did not inform BT that I was…

Fibre broadband speeds with different suppliers
We get around 3.5Mbps speed on our standard ADSL connection, and a few months ago decided to get Sky Fibre installed. Despite a speed range of 23 - 33Mbps being estimated, our line could only support a maximum of 7Mbps (Openreach said this was because of the length of the line to the cabinet), and so we downgraded to ADSL…

A hole in BT broadband T&Cs?
Hello folks. I am surely not the only one who got charged unexpectedly for a FREE hub when leaving BT just before the 12 months have expired. However, nowhere in the T&Cs and my initial invoice is mentioned that I will get charged for the hub (in my case £55). I would need to click on one of the links in my pdf T&Cs…
