Will I be paying more Income Tax next year?
Hello everyone, I'm new on these forums, and I sincerely hope something can answer my question. I'd contact Inland Revenue myself, but it's a national rate number. I've read that year 2016/17 the tax allowance will be increasing from £10,600 to £10,800 which, means we'll be paying less tax, right? However, when I verify…

Universal Credit & Pension
Hi, I'm after some financial advise regarding an endowment policy I have that is due to mature soon. I'm a single parent now, 2 young kids, but have had the endowment going for almost 25years. I've paid into it (not attached to a mortgage anymore) as a way of ensuring I saved something for my eventual pension. Since…

Child Benefit - not willing to pay onto a prepaid card?
Hello, Due to Tesco Bank messing up a lot of our direct debits and causing me a couple months of issues, my wife and I have tackled two problems at once by using a prepaid account that acts identically to a normal bank account, without the obvious protections assured by the government. We always try to budget and fail and…

Hi Might be a silly question with an obvious answer, but I'm b*ggered if I can work it out!! New to claiming Tax Credits, I have a small savings pot....do I included the total amount of savings I have in "Other Income" or is it just the interest earned from it that I declare? I feel it should probably be the whole amount…

Foster Carer
As a foster carer, I believe we are not entitled to any benefits at all. If they were our children with the same household income we would be. Is this correct?
