Tax Credits & Savings question

Hi
Might be a silly question with an obvious answer, but I'm b*ggered if I can work it out!!
New to claiming Tax Credits, I have a small savings pot....do I included the total amount of savings I have in "Other Income" or is it just the interest earned from it that I declare? I feel it should probably be the whole amount but it says "gross income from savings" so I'm confused!
I have some in an ISA and a little bit extra just in a normal no frills bank account (Current not savings account). The ISA I only opened this April so haven't earnt anything on it as yet. But I don't think I have to declare the ISA?

Buy your bananas in bunches of 5 on Sunday. Then arrange them in order of ripeness and write a day of the week on each banana in felt pen, Monday on the ripest, Friday on the greenest to save time making those decisions on a hectic weekday morning

Really? ok, I just assumed I would have to declare my savings as well.....fortunately not enough savings to generate £300 of annual interest :-)
Thanks for clearing it up for me.Banana LoversBuy your bananas in bunches of 5 on Sunday. Then arrange them in order of ripeness and write a day of the week on each banana in felt pen, Monday on the ripest, Friday on the greenest to save time making those decisions on a hectic weekday morning0
