Hello folks I need a little advice My friend has gotten herself into a little money trouble, not a huge amount but we are managing to get it fixed, she just had her head burried in the sand a little to long and most of us have been there at one point or another. Now I'm just wondering if she is entitled to WTC. She works…

Council Tax Question and Students : Big Problem, help needed
A long council tax related story that dates back more than two years. A few weeks ago, I received a call from a London Borough CT department. They asked me some details about a rented property where I was living 14 months ago. As a honest lad and as I don't have anything to hide, I told them that I was a student at the…

Help filling in DLA
Hi My neighbour wants me to help fill her DLA in , and I am down as someone who goes in and helps her daily, which I do seeing as I work from home. I am stuck though as these forms are notoriously difficult to fill out. Her problems are: * Can't sit for more than 20 mins a time (Drs orders) * Needs dressing changed on…

Hb and non dependents
Hello, my daughter has now turned 18 and is working full time. I have just received a letter from HB saying they need to reasses my claim because of this-which is fair enough, but i wondered, will she be treated as though she was 'my partner' and be responsible for 50% of the rent?

I'm not sure if this is in the right place but this is my first time posting on here.... My husband and I were this week given 2 months notice to leave our privately rented house as the owners are intending to sell up. Children's accounts and your savings question?
This is more a theoretical question now although it would apply to me if my situation changes. If your children have savings accounts, which other family members pay into and your own contributions have been minimal (can be proven), would the HB or tax credit people insist on adding their accounts to your savings…
