What am I entitled to?

Hope you can help me. I'm disabled due to M.S. and have never worked since disability. I've claimed IS for 11 years and DLA for 12 years. I moving in with my partner who earns £15,000 a year. I know I'll lose my IS, but can I claim IB or any other benefit since my DLA doesn't count (I'm in high rate care/mobility).

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset. ;)

You won't be entitled to IB as you've not paid sufficient National Insurance Contributions
I'll get you, my pretty, and your little dog too!

Do I receive national insurance credits with my income support?. I'm confused and cannot see how I'm supposed to live on my DLA, which I pay my carers out of.

shouldn't a carer be paid for with carer's allowance not out of your dla?

You would only get incapacity credits if you have an IB claim. This would be called a 'Credits Only' claim, as you have said that you have never worked.
Ask your JCP Benefit Centre if you have a 'Credits Only' claim- if not- make an IB claim- to get future credits for possible future benefits- eg Retirement Pension.
For Carers Allowance (CA) to be paid to a carer, a carer must earn less than £86 pw. If your partner is now your carer, on £15K they would not get CA.
Sorry- only you and your partner can decide how you would be supported when you move in together. Sorry again, and not wishing to upset you or being blunt- but together means together.

My partner doesn't care for me, and I never worked because my MS started when I was 15 and I've been in a wheelchair for 11 years.
