Housing Benefit

Morning all,

I'm trying to find out some information for a friend regarding housing benefit.

He currently receives incapacity benefit and housing benefit. He is also due to get DLA. Does anyone know if DLA will affect the amount of housing benefit he is entitled to ?

DLA is not counted as income for housing benefit or council tax benefit.

I've got a feeling that recently the amount of money he got for Incapacity Benefit went up a little. I think this might be because he has been on it for more than a year now. Does this change the amount of housing benefit he will receive ?

Is there any online website I can visit where all this is explained ?

the rise in incapacity benefit will have the effect of reducing the housing benefit however the dla may entiltle the applicant to additional premiums in the housing benefit and therefore result in an increase.
