Am I likely to hear from OR again?
It's 6 weeks since my OR interview and it's been quiet for a while. There were a couple of things they came back with - like asking me if I wanted to buy back my life insurance policy for £50. I asked them to return my previous 12 months bank statements for my records but they haven't done so. From what I have read on…

Forcing Evidence
Hi, I've recently received a Claim Form wheree BW Legal are claiming an old defaulted loan. I don't recall the loan, which may sound odd, but I had a business 8 years ago and had several personal loans all of which I believed I had payed off. Certainly no one's been chasing me and I've lived at my current address for four…

Called in for an interview
Hi, I got a letter from my OR requesting me to attend an interview, which would take 3 - 6 hours apparently. I am a little bit concerned about this as first of all I was under the understanding that in most cases they did it over the telephone and secondly that 3 to 6 hours is a very long time. I am not sure what takes…

Bankruptcy date on Wednesday
Hi all. After my Father died in 2010, my life went off the rails somewhat. I took up drinking and gambling heavily, moved from job to job, and buried my head in the sand about the debts I had accrued. Long story short, they total around £16,000 I'm slowly getting back on track. I now have a regular job, and with the help…

CCJS after discharge
Hi all I went bankrupt on the 01/2010 and was later discharged in 08/2010. Prior to bankruptcy date there was a ccj made against me. This ccj was included in the bankruptcy and thus should show as satisfied/settled on the credit reference agencies files, but it is still showing as active. I have today spoken to the court,…

Today I had my face-to-face meeting with the Official Receiver and anything and everything was covered lasting all 3 hours of it. The OR went through each page of the SOA and appeared satisfied with my answers. The only drawback, and it was a bit of a blow for me, was my car.. he says it is an asset which will go towards…

Sole Trader and Bankruptcy -
H All, I have previously posted on here about how a sole trader copes with bankruptcy but looking for others experiences of this... Query
Ok so I'm due automatic discharge soon. I haven't had to pay an IPA but have had to make a one off payment from a bonus received. I am due another bonus 8 days before I'm due to be discharged as well as potentially receiving a pay rise too. So unfortunately it looks like I won't get to keep my bonus but if my pay rise…
